The Vermont/New Hampshire Marketing Group presented three awards at its annual conference in Whitefield, NH last week. David Wilson of Littleton Coin in Littleton, NH, George Duncan of Duncan Direct and Susan O’Neil of @Website Publicity, both based in Peterborough, NH, were honored with the Lone Pine Award for “outstanding contributions” to this educational organization.

Wilson is the long serving treasurer and board member of the all-volunteer Vermont/New Hampshire Marketing Group, in addition to his duties for his employer. As Littleton Coin’s Director of Fulfillment, Wilson contributes to operations initiatives for this sixty-six year old family business that is a leading resource for coin and currency collectors around the world.   Duncan, a co-founder fo the Group and winner of more than a dozen national awards including The Direct Marketing Association's Echo Leader Award, is stepping down from a 50-year career as a top marketing copywriter and consultant to pursue other interests. O'Neil is the founder and president of @Website Publicity, a digital agency in Search, Social, and Mobile. Her team serves the online advertisng needs for e-commerce clients including Yankee Candle Company, Lindt Chocolate and Ross-Simons Jewerly, as well as B to B clients such as Practicon Dental and New England Medical Transcription. All three award winners have held board positions with the Vermont/New Hampshire Marketing Group and have served on committees supporting that organization's focus on training marketers in the region's small to medium-sized businesses.

We are pleased to announce that the recipients of this year's college scholarships are Taylor O'Neil from Plymouth State College in NH and Cody Brown from Lyndon State College in Vermont.

Cody, who will be a senior at LSC this coming fall, is majoring in Digital Media Ecommerce and a minor in Marketing. As an intern at Sonnax Industries in Bellows Falls, VT, Cody handles the creation of enouncements to a list of 5000+ contacts and is involved in the creation of ads for new products and events.

Taylor will be entering her junior year at Plymouth State College in the fall of 2011 and is currently focusing her major on Marketing with a minor in sales. Through her mother's career as an operating room technician, Taylor is interested in pursuing a career in marketing or sales of medical products.
